Psychiatric Evaluations
A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive, thorough assessment that takes place during your first session with Dr. Paul Poulakos. Perhaps you’ve had a previous diagnosis. Perhaps you’ve seen a psychiatrist but were never told your diagnosis. Whether you have seen a psychiatrist in the past or this is your first encounter, Dr. Poulakos provides a complete evaluation for each new patient.
Your initial assessment
A good initial assessment by an expert is crucial to good psychiatric care. This assessment involves a combination of online questionnaires and in session evaluation conducted by Dr. Poulakos. Together, you will create a treatment plan that optimizes your goals and expectations and is in line with Dr. Poulakos’s recommendations. This intake session ensures that your present and past concerns as well as your goals for treatment are heard and understood. Purposely, we allow for an hour of time so that the space is open for whatever questions you might have.
