Elevating Psychiatric care About

Dr. Paul Poulakos

Psychiatrist in NYC

Dr. Paul Poulakos is a Georgetown and Mount Sinai trained psychiatrist. In addition to seeing patients at his private practice, he is an Attending Psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he enjoys teaching medical students and resident physicians. Formerly, Dr. Poulakos served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Poulakos has presented at national conferences and has worked in numerous settings with various patient populations of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, Dr. Poulakos works with clients who may not necessarily meet criteria for a mental illness; helping people come to terms with real obstacles, while acknowledging self-imposed, imaginary ones, is one example of how Dr. Poulakos works with clients to navigate life’s challenges and achieve personal success and fulfillment. His special interests include ADHD, treatment-resistant depression, Anxiety, and LGBT Mental Health.

I have been a patient of Dr. Poulakos for almost a year, and he is a fantastic psychiatrist! He is attentive and compassionate during our sessions, and it feels like he is invested in my success. Matt K., Google Reviews
